Dalia Causby: That should be fine as OT programs are at the master's degree or even doctoral degree level, and as long as you have the prerequisite courses, a competitive GPA (grade point average), do well on the GRE (graduate record examination) test or other types of admissions test, and have excellent letters of recommendation. (Just fyi that one doesn't necessarily need to get a doctorate in OT unless wanting to perform research or teach at the university level.) Just a word to the wise that the OT field may be both physically and psychologically (mentally) draining. Before taking prerequites for OT (or any field), please observe/job shadow in the various departments of which an OT may work including a physical rehabilitation hospital that treats patients with Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), stroke ("brain attack") which is a type of brain injury, spinal cord injury/paralysis, other neurological disorders, hip/knee/shoulder replacement, amputated limbs, hip fracture or! such - pediatric hospital - mental health/psychiatric unit - nursing home/long-term care facility. Please only consider accredited programs in OT: http://www.aota.orgU.S. colleges: http://www.utexas.edu/world/univ...Show more
