Any cool crafts 4 a 12 year old 2 do?

Bernadette Roel: I like knitting - mostly scarves and hats, and think crochet is really interesting. When I was 12 I started making my own jewelry - earrings, bracelets, necklaces - out of beads, thread, and a few cheap metal hooks and clasps that you can get from craft stores.

Arlene Maycumber: Get some Cross stich floss and make friendship bracelets!www.wikihow.com/Make-a-Friendship-BraceletGoogle images have some real pretty examples!oryou could always make cookies!!...Show more

Raleigh Lufkin: grab a coloring book, mann.that's what i do, and i'm fifteen:)lol.

Marvel Mcaulay: How about sewing some yarn to plastic canvas to make something really neat? You could make a purse like I did! I made a Hello Kitty purse out of 4 even sheets of plastic canvas, plus a long rectangle sheet of plastic canvas for the handle. I found a photo online of Hello Kitty's face and printed it out to fit the front of my purse. I traced it to the front and to the back so that ! I could have a front and back Hello Kitty face for my purse. I used yellow, black, white and red yarn. Then I took some old faux tiger skin material and sewed it to the inside of my purse. Here's a picture of what I made here. It didn't take me that long to make it and it was really fun to make too! Enjoy!...Show more

Chanda Wittwer: How about designing and making your own greetings cards. Or spirograph designs or home-made designs and cover old cds/dvds with the shiney side left to catch the light. Make your own pressed flowers and stick them on cards etc. Get some tubes/tins of acrylic paint and colour the engaved patterns on glass ashtrays, tumblers, sugar bowls, butter dishes etc.(I used to do that when I was younger and they looked great. Or how about designing, building small houses and shops etc. out of thick card and make a little village scene.(I am looking for some little houses for my new model railway layout!!) You can get them as card templates at Metcalf! kits. The card is already printed and it is a simple matter o! f press/cut out, fold, stick - hey presto one little row of houses for your village - check out Metcalf via web.Anyway, good luck to the 12 year old daughter. Hope she finds something to occupy her. The card kits are good - I built the country church a number of years ago.Kindest regards from the north coast of the Emerald Isle.BarneyElf.....Show more
