Clue 50th Anniversary Edition - This version comes in a tin case and includes a new weapon: the poison. It is a fun game to play and it takes about 0.5 - 1.5 hours to play. 3. Risk 40th Anniversary Edition - It's hard to get your hands on it, but any version of this time-consuming yet extremely fun game will do.4. Blokus - A rather new game on the market, Blokus is a fun strategy game that can get you thinking (involves placement of specific shapes). Monica Voltin: My brother's roommates introduced me to this crazy German board game called Settlers of Catan. It sounds really lame when it's described in words but we think it's a lot of fun.The game board consists of a deck of shuffled tiles that are placed down to form a picture of an island. Each tile represents 1 of 5 different resources that can be earned when the dice are rolled. You use the resources you earn to build cities and roads on the island and as you expand your reach, you earn more resources. Building cities as well as doing other things will you earn you points. 10 points are needed to! win the game.I like the game because the board is different e! very time and it's a tiny bit more complex than Monopoly. The only strategy involved is really just using the roads you build to cut other players off from the resources they need. However, there is a wide variety of expansions you can buy which make the game much more complicated. That way, you can choose to either keep things simple or be really hardcore....Show more

Willie Tun: Apples to Apples is really a card ! game. But, it is so much fun. I haven't found anyone at any age that doesn't like it. There are very few rules and several ways to play. Cranium is a great board game with four different categories of play. My favorite is Sculptorades where you have to make something out of Clay.Sequence is an addictive board game where you play cards to try to get five in a row. Marya Fehn: I am the biggest board game fan you'll ever meet. I love Disney Scene It; no one can beat me. Get Balgerdash, you make up things and I have a lot of fun with my friends. Scategories, the new monopoly automatic banking, catch phrase music editon, outburst, and Pit (! it's tje best card game ever).

Be different and get your cousin an unusual game that is easy and fun.Settlers of Catan is an excellent recommendation. It plays with up to 4 players, but you can get an expansion kit to make it play up to 6 players. It has a good deal of player interaction when it comes to making trade deals to acquire the resources that you need to win the game.Ticket to RIde is another fun and easy game about building railroad connections across a map of the USA. You collect sets of like colored cards to claim a route on the map and fulfill tickets (contracts that gain you points). Claiming routes that cut off the other players is always a fun gotcha.Vegas Showdown is a game about building the best hotel and casino on the Strip. You build your empire by acquiring tiles for each type of area (restaurant, lounge, slots, crap tables, etc.) and pl! acing them on your build area.
