Becky Mosena: I can't tell you about Jackson or life on post at Huachuca (we lived off), but we were at Huachuca for MI CCC (my husband). It's BORING. It's not very big, there's a mall with a food court bigger than the actual mall itself, and thats about it. If you like to hike though there's a lot of that, just be smart with the snakes/scorpions/illegals (really, you're about 10 miles from the boarder and it happens almost nightly). Plus, Sierra Vista is at about 4800' elevation, so get aclimated before you start heading up a mountain. Bisbee is a MUST visit, super cute town about 30 min. away. There's Tombstone too....cheesy, but you can say you were there (again, about 30 minutes away). Don't bother going to Douglas, its seriously the a**hole of AZ....Show more
Shaunta Paap: the international has lost a genuine and uncommon celebrity interior the type of Michael Jackson. in no way has there been this type of large expertise as him. His expertise and fan base has ! been whilst in comparison with that of The Beatles and Elvis, yet i think of its truthful to declare that he's a legend lots larger than the different band or artist. His songs have been somewhat influential to the music international and set a commonly used so severe that no longer something considering that has rather in comparison. there has been no different artist who has performed such dizzy heights as Jackson. For me, Michael Jackson stimulated me along with his dancing capacity and his songs. there's no longer a music of his that i do no longer love. i comprehend an dazzling style of the words to his songs, and ought to computer screen his dancing for hours on end. Now i wasn't some great fan, yet i've got faith he grow to be a genuine idol and that i do no longer think of the international will see this type of expertise ever returned. i've got faith he grow to be misunderstood and his quirky (and now and returned a splash off the wall) approaches have been taken t! horoughly the incorrect way by making use of the international! . It saddens me that the international is that this type of judgemental and merciless place, and that i desire he might have seen what proportion unswerving and loving followers he had. RIP Michael Jackson....Show more
Filiberto Amauty: I just graduated basic training from Fort Jackson, South Carolina. The weather is hot and humid, especially now. Training, like going to the rifle ranges and other assorted outdoor activities sucks a lot because it gets so hot and humid, especially while wearing all your gear such as IBA's and ACH's.As far as it being easier, it depends, though keep in mind that coed training has to be fit for men and women and Fort Jackson basic training is for soft-skill MOS's. Your basic training experience depends on your Drill Sergeants really, they supervise you and are there for all your training, they will tell you what and when to do things. The barracks are sixty person bays with latrines (around six stalls and eight showers) and laundry room! s. They aren't that bad but provide no privacy, you'll get used to it. Females and males are not allowed in each others barracks, all interactions with the opposite sex take place while training under supervision.I'm at Fort Huachuca right now and I can say that it is much better than Fort Jackson, from the weather to the privileges. We get cell phones, laptops, mp3 players, and game systems. You can purchase internet service too, forty dollars a month though. The barracks are made for thirty people with latrines and laundry rooms as well as a day room. If you're lucky you'll get to go to the dorms, they are two-man dorms. When you first get here, at phase 4, you can go anywhere on post, there is a movie theater (one movie per night, open weekends), bowling alley, shopette, px and a few other things like a commissary and what not. After you pass a pt test you'll phase up, as long as your platoon sergeant sees fit, and you'll be allowed off post, you can wear civilian clothe! s on free time, smoke and drink if at appropriate age, drive a pov, and! you don't have to be present for bed check. Remember though that you can lose these privileges. While here at Fort Huachuca you can eat whatever, the DFAC is a good place to eat free, but you can eat at Popeyes, Anthony's Pizza or other places at the shopette or around post.AIT really is a lot better than basic training....Show more
