Christy Tirabassi: I would first of all try and ring them and get it resolved like you said. If they wont help you or try and fix it, call the Tellecommunications Onmbudsman and put in a complaint (google the number for your country or territory). The ombudsman will try and resolve the issue with in 2 weeks, whether it is getting you money back, a new phone and plan or getting the contract cancelled. Sharie Sommerville: You could try, but you may only be able to get the overages refunded from the last few months. You may find because your mother paid the bill without checking it, she basically "agreed" that the charges were legitimate. I know for a fact that they won't "grandfather" you in on the old plan, but they may give you a rockin good deal on one of the newer plans...besides, with all there is out there to offer now, the ne! wer phones can be pretty great! I would suggest that you have all your info and calculations in front of you when you call them, its easier to request refunds when you know exactly how much you want....Show more

Rebbecca Sorkin: After the bill cycle closes (The last 11 months bill cycles have already closed) you can not be refunded. That is company policy and nothing you say will make them change that. You might be able to talk them into removing the charges, but it is not very often that they do so. Other than that, if you are sure that there is no possible way that you could have caused the charges, I would get a new cell phone carrier, preferably Verizon.
