Claire Billegas: You have to weigh which is more important to you, getting away from your peers whom you can't stand or missing sports and dances which you like? Also, you'll be more focused and less distracted, and study at your own pace with home schooling. Mozell Sponsler: Hey!Sorry your having trouble at school at the mo, me and quite a few of my friends are being home schooled and we love it :) I've been home schooled most of my high school life and you can still get involved in dancing/sports/social groups where you can meet people and stuff so it's pretty cool. Pros:-You can learn at your own pace -You can re arrange your schooling hours to suit you and your family-There are home schooling groups in heaps of areas (you just need to find out where!) so you can join one and meet other homeschoolers your age-Home schoolers don'! t have to deal with as much peer pressure-You get a say in what curriculum you use-No after hours homework!-You don't get as stressed out with tests/exams etc-You miss out on all that negative "drama" that goes on at high schools-According to a website I found, curriculum for an entire year costs less than 1 month of private school tuition.Cons:-Sometimes parent teachers can be a wee bit harder on you than teachers at school can-Some people might bug you and ask you how you make friends and stuff if you dont go to school but come on, there are way more ways to meet people other than at school!-You have to be quite self motivated. You could get home schooled by correspondence, or theres normal home schooling which is just where you and your parents can choose your own curriculum that would suit your needs best, and you self grade and things like that.Hope this helped :)...Show more
Shandi Wedge: well you'll probaly get kinda lonley staying at home all the time, and won'! t be able to meet new friends or anything, and the dances and ! sports. You will also miss out on a scholarship to college which you can get through good grades, sports, band ect.the good part is that you can sleep in every day. and every day will be stress free! and home school or online home school only takes 3 hours instead of 6. And you will also get a BETTER education being you have full access to a teacher since your the only one, and you can learn at your own pace. I'm thinking of taking online school myself because school is WAY to stressful for me....Show more
Elli Esaw: nope dont do it because then you eont be able to meet new friends
Armando Somes: hey! i have been home schooled forever and this is my freshman/sophomore year in high school and im going to school this year. so you can be home schooled and still do sports with your public school or you can join a "home school group" and the people in that home school group will form sports teams, plan dances, have field trips and so much more! allot of people think ! that home school kids don't have friends well i can tell you i have plenty of friends and i always have! and you can find a co-op so if your parents are not so good at teaching some things you can get a teacher from a co-op and be with a group of about 4-10 kids in a class and you can find anything you need help with. also you could get a tutor but you wont make allot of friends that way but your tutor can help you with anything. one of the things i didn't like so much about being home schooled was that i was at home allot so it got hard to be with my mom all day long. and im not sure about the legal stuff but you will have to change some stuff so you can be home schooled and your parents will get this card and they carry it with them so if you need proof at any time you have that! if you have anymore questions about home schooling i would be honored to help just email me i can get you a list of home school co-ops in your area if you would like or groups for home schooling ! around where you live! equinechic13@yahoo.com...Show more
