Jonelle Eligio: Hi Jo, Alternative Medicine is a title used for any form of healing, medicinal or therapeutic use of a natural-based remedy, such as Herbalism, Acupuncture, Massage, etc. For example, herbs use plant extracts as a medicine which can equal or surpass artifical or chemical forms used in conventional medicine. Also Aromatherapy which uses plant oils for healing on the physical and emotional levels. I choose to find alternative ways to impr! ove my health by using herbs and aromatherapy, etc so that means i am using alternative medicine. I personally self-diagnosed and discovered a herb as the only remedy for a long-standing physical problem that my Doctor could not even diagnose let alone treat. No disrespect to the medical profession here, I am just illustrating Alternative Medicine. That is my view of it anyway. When my doctor has no answer for me then i choose to find my own.
