television has a positive impact on our lives?

Azzie Trembly: The only thing I can think of is how it opens up our world in ways that books can't sometimes by actually bringing to life other cultures, animals, and stories about places we may never actually venture to ourselves. It shows us/teaches us about the way other people live, helping us to think outside of the box and outside of ourselves, educating us about other cultures and ways of life. Is this a homework question?

Gilberto Cratin: It makes us think.....like the show LOST. :]

Rodrigo Pezley: Not all television is positive. In fact, some of it is downright stupid. On the other hand, I worked through a verry difficult episode of my life through a soap storyline (Marty's gang rape on OLTL). My experience had been 20+ years before, but that didn't stop me from empathizing with the character and, frankly, working through some of my own issues. It's just about what you watch and what you take to it. If you take only negative, that's all you'll get ! back.
