Green Terror Chiclid?

Stanton Degregorio: Green Terrors (Aequidens rivulatus) can grow to 20cm/8" in length and a single adult will need a 120 x 46 x 46cm tank once fully grown (this equates to approximately 50 gallons). Is your friend giving you the tank or are you buying your own? Be warned that fishkeeping is fairly expensive and you will have to fork out money for a filtration system, heating and extras such as test kits. What type of live food is the fish being fed on? If they are life 'feeder' fish then I would wean the fish onto a diet of frozen foods such as bloodworm, daphnia and a good quality cichlid pellet. Finally I would like to suggest that you do plenty of research. If you are buying your own aquarium and starting from scratch then you will need to understand the basic fundamentals of fishless cycling and water quality. Some basic knowledge on feeding and fish health will also be useful. Verdie Wollen: the tanks good might be a litlle small when the fish gets oldr. cichlid pellets work most of the time it wont get to big but they get a fair size no special things nedded from my expirience just a filter and heater for the winter time filter all year round.
