what is poetry????????

Manie Labat: poetry is a way of expressing how someone is felling

Shan Lanen: Poetry is like language, universal and ancient. Poems are created to empathetically share an experience through a particular lens. It does not have to have a moral nor does it have to have some noble truth. It is pretty much a microcosm of a novel. It says what should be said in a terse manner.Poetry is there to broaden or deepen our experience. A poem on a dreary winter day can broaden or deepen our experience as much as an exuberant love sonnet. It is an aversion from prosaic fact.Usually, things are communicated through fact. An example would be: "This Civil War soldier is courageous." Poetry can broaden something of that nature by someone saying, "Like a steed that soldier's valor is shown in deed." Lol don't steal that line, i just made it up. Also poetry is unpinpointable. That's what makes poetry entertaining and amazing. We cannot put a standard to good poetry but just FEE! L how it broadens our experience or deepens it in diverse ways. In that poem, I can feel how the poet wanted to mince words together to convey the ambiguous emotion of love. I would consider it good poetry because of how elegant the emotion of love was portrayed.kudos to the person that wrote it and hope you enjoyed the essay...Show more

Gale Hartt: yes i like poems dont have to be good-but to me must be interesting

Verdie Wollen: problematic factor. seek onto google. just that might help!
